Maryland Tax Increase effective July 1, 2018

Effective July 1, 2018, Maryland has increased the Combined Applicable Motor Fuel Tax rate for Gasoline from $.338 per gallon to $.353 and for Special Fuel/Diesel from $.3455 per gallon to $.3605.

The component breakdown of the Combined Applicable Motor Fuel Tax rate is as follows:

The Maryland Excise Tax rate for Gasoline increased from $.251 to $.256 and for Special/Fuel/Diesel from $.2585 to $.2635.

The Maryland Sales and Use Tax Equivalent rate increased from $.087 to $.097.
